The Black Defence Group

The Black Defence Group had formed from an amalgamation of the Aboriginal Land Rights Campaign and the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Bill Committee, responding to the Federal Government Act forcing all Aboriginal organisations receiving Federal funding to become companies (ie, making it harder to stay as Cooperatives).
