Student map

Tranby enrolled students from across Australia. You can learn how many students came from each state in any year by using this map.

Before 1980, Australian students mainly came from northern NSW or Queensland, with some Pacific Islanders and New Guineans.

After 1980, when Tranby became fully Indigenous-led and also when there was more supportive government funding, the numbers of students taking courses at Tranby increased and many more were from rural or urban New South Wales or Victoria, although some students continued to come from Queensland, Western Australia, the Northern Territory and South Australia. But there was no one from Tasmania before 2000.
